COTTAGE PARTY July 23 7:30 PM - on Zoom (virtual event)

​Learn about the candidates’ platforms by listening to their ideas and having them answer your questions. If you would like to submit a question for any or all the candidates to answer at the event, please reply to this email with your questions and we will compile a list in advance. You are also welcome to ask any questions at the time of the event “in person”.

Every year we gather to sign petitions for all area democrats who are running for office. It's a great time to reconnect, meet new neighbors, and talk with some of the 2019 candidates!

BORO GOVERNMENT 101

We understand that most are local government clueless, and that's ok! We'll be covering everything you need to know about how the Glen Rock government runs and we guarantee everyone will walk away knowing a whole lot more. This workshop will NOT be taped and we probably won't run it again for a couple of years, so do what you can to make it.

Who: GRDO dues paying Members ONLY. If you aren't sure if you paid your annual dues, please email GlenRockDems@gmail.com

Cost: Bring a bottle of wine or an appetizer to share!

Shoes: House is shoeless but you can bring slippers or cozy socks!

Seating: It's just not possible for everyone to get a seat but if sitting is important to you, please bring a chair that has pads on it (so the floors don't get scratched).

This is our last Cottage Party of the season and it's a BIG one! You'll get to meet and hear from 
Josh Gottheimer for Congress, our current Congress Member who is up for reelection.

In addition, we will kick off our Get Out the Vote (GOTV) weekend. More information on how to GOTV will be coming soon!

Finally, you'll get to mingle with our local candidates Kristine Morieko & Mary Barchetto for Glen Rock Council. Discuss pertinent issues, hear what they have to say, and also meet your fellow Glen Rock neighbors.

Dress Code: Casual
Cost: Free, just show up!

GOTV WEEKEND!

We need to Get Out the Vote like our rights depend on it!

What you'll be doing (training provided):
- Quick knocks to friendly doors to remind people to vote.
- Hanging literature on doorknobs.
- Saving Democracy.

Who can participate:
You must be at least 16 years old.

Pay:
The Bergen County Democratic Party will pay $60 per shift. 
You can also volunteer your time.

What to bring:
- Your filled reusable water bottle (no single use bottles).
- A tote/bag that you can keep the literature in.
- A charged cell phone.
- If you are working Tuesday it will get dark, wear bright clothes and bring a flashlight.

Where to go:
Saturday meet above the garage at 574 Doremus Ave.
Tuesday ring the bell at 77 Concord.


Election Watch Party in Glen RocK

But either way, most agree that this is the most important election of our lives. DO NOT SIT HOME ALONE. Join us for this real nail bitter as we laugh, cry, and (hopefully) celebrate this historic night!
